Specific e-commerce expertise
Snow Valley firmly believes that mission-critical e-commerce solutions require expert hosting and operational support services. Retailers, for example, must meet a whole host of sector-specific security requirements that generic hosting providers cannot meet. They also need 24-hour support as standard - every second counts if any loss of revenue is to be prevented.
Because no other company can offer this specific expertise, we established our own round-the-clock hosting and operational services division. This allows us to either deliver solutions on a 'build and operate' model, where we develop and deploy the application and then host and support it on a day-to-day basis, or to provide host-and-operate only services, where we take over the running of an existing solution.
Our services fall into two key areas:
- Infrastructure & Hosting - working with a number of industry leading hardware, software and internet connectivity providers, we build secure and scalable infrastructures that are tailored to each client's needs, ensuring excellent performance and value for money. We then provide hosting in our Tier One data centre, which is backed up by a disaster recovery facility.
- Operations - we provide 24x7 monitoring and issue escalation and resolution to ensure that our clients' systems are up and running at all times. Our engineers are constantly engaged in optimising the performance of our clients' sites, with ongoing server maintenance, security patching and daily back-ups. We also provide daily customer support through an online issue tracking tool, a client support hotline, and client extranet.
