MULTI-VARIATE TESTING FOR ONLINE RETAIL - MASTERCLASS

Snow Valley's client masterclass programme continues on 22 July, with a session devoted to how online retailers can predict and measure online sales performance.

The early Easter this year brought it home to most online retailers that year-on-year comparison is not, by itself, adequate for predicting and measuring online sales. E-commerce managers need to understand how to take a much more scientific approach to predicting sales based on planned activity and then monitor progress effectively.

The session will also consider how retailers can respond if sales growth is below expectations. This part of the event will cover the subject of multi-variate testing, where retailers can simultaneously test several approaches to site usability or marketing activity to ensure that return is maximised.

The day-long session will be led by Nick Radcliffe, author of The Scientific Marketer blog, and will also feature a presentation from Optimost, who offer site optimisation services.
