NEW STORE LOCATOR SERVICE ADDED TO MUSE2 PLATFORM
Snow Valley has added a new store locator service to their MUSE2 platform.
The solution, which combines a number of technologies and services, has been designed to allow clients on the MUSE2 platform to deliver a store finder facility that is fully customised to their specific customer and business needs.
"Our research has shown that, on average, 10% of visits to a high street retailer's site are made by people looking for details of a store," said Sarah Clelland, Marketing Manager at Snow Valley. "That means thousands of your customers could be judging your website on the quality of the store locator service alone. It makes sense to deliver something that leaves them feeling satisfied and impressed."
"Every retailer is different, however, and so we’ve built a solution that offers a comprehensive service as standard, but can be extended to suit individual business needs."
Retailers can allow customers to search by a number of different criteria, including location, and products and services available in-store. This information can be presented according to design preferences, using graphical icons to represent store and product types where necessary.
Web staff can manage the store locator service using a simple interface. As standard, retailers can add location, opening times and extra store information (such as ‘late night opening on Thursday’). Maps are generated automatically, although grid references can be altered manually if required.
Staff can also set up store types, such as ‘Concession’ or ‘Express’, or product types, such as ‘Shoes’ or ‘Childrenswear’, which can then be applied to relevant stores. Regions can also be set up, allowing retailers to group stores in the North East or London, for example.
"With the right store locator in place, retailers can ensure that they’re delivering top-class customer satisfaction while also reducing the number of incoming calls that store and customer service staff have to deal with. It can also play an important role in bridging the gap between the web and the store network, which is important for a multi-channel strategy."
"We also see huge potential for the geo-spatial technology behind MUSE2 Store Locator and will be applying it to numerous other areas, such as reporting, marketing and delivery."
