New Online Store Boosts Sales and Order Value At Lakeland

Lakeland, the retailer of kitchenware and solutions for the home, has seen average online order value and order numbers soar following the launch of their new e-commerce solution earlier this year.

One of the UK’s most successful multi-channel retailers, Lakeland was established in 1963 as a mail order firm. Today, they have 31 stores across the UK and a hugely popular website, with a direct despatch centre in Kendal fulfilling 6,000 orders each and every day.

Last year, Lakeland asked Snow Valley to replace their existing online store with a scalable e-commerce solution that could be fully integrated with their other line-of-business systems. The retailer had a number of aims for the new site, but their number one priority was (and is) to deliver superb customer service to all of their customers. To achieve this goal, Snow Valley provided:
